| The Away Team comes fully equipped with a lightweight fly-away package that is essentially a production facility in 5 bags. The package includes two broadcast cameras, complete audio facilities, Lowell lighting, battery powered LED monitoring and laptop editing using Sony proprietary software. At least one of the crew members is trained to the EMT-D level and carries a trauma kit. |
| In the field, images and sound can originate in a number of ways, from live standups to pre-produced segments. The team is well versed in transmission tools as well, including sat phone and portable sat uplinks. Oh, and we've been known to run the tape a few miles in order to make air. |
